Choose a manageable story for the year
A yearbook template does not have to begin with a large publishing project. This free set helps a class, club or family collect a few shared moments in a small printed booklet. Start by naming the group and the year on the cover. Decide which activities belong in the book so you can choose photographs that tell a coherent story rather than including every available image.
Pair photographs with useful captions
The photo page has four frames with a caption line beneath each one. Print and attach photographs, or use the frames as spaces for drawings when a photograph is unavailable. A caption can name the activity and explain why it mattered. Ask permission before including someone's photograph or personal details, especially when copies will be shared beyond the group that created the original book.
Let participants contribute their own memories
The memories page includes prompts for a favourite moment, something learned, a thank-you and a hope for next year. Give contributors time to choose what they want to share. Short handwritten answers keep different voices visible. You can repeat this page for each participant or collect several responses together, depending on the number of people involved and how many printed pages you want to assemble.
Assemble and check a small proof copy
All three pages use US Letter paper with room along the left edge for simple binding. Print a proof, add a few photos and check that captions remain readable before making more copies. The free file is a static layout, not a photo-upload service. The related collage pack adds grid and feature pages, a shot list and an XLSX photo organizer for sorting images before building a larger collection.
